Japanese Rosewood Screen

This screen is made from Sonokeling Rosewood with African Ebony details. The removable panels are made from silk douppion and have been shibori hand dyed with indigo by Sarah Pearson Cooke. The design was inspired by traditional Japanese pagodas and bridges. This was done through incorporating the arched detailing into the base of the screen and also the overhang on the tops of the panels.
