Matthew
Tradgett produces fine contemporary furniture for private clients.
Matthew
first studied Engineering, then focused his interests in Product Design
and Technology
and gained an HND qualification at the University of Wales
Institute, Cardiff. On returning to
Cheltenham he went on to study
Fine Furniture Making and passed the Diploma with Credit.
During the
final year of the Diploma, Matthew was employed as a furniture maker at
Alan Eldridge Furniture in Malvern and worked with Alan for two and a half
years.
Commissioning: it is his intention to ensure the client is satisfied with
the commissioning process.
With his knowledge of a large variety of
hardwood timbers he is able to source and select quality
solid wood and
veneers from around the world, making sure that the products are
sustainable.
All furniture is designed and crafted with outstanding detail
by Matthew in his workshop that
is equipped with unique and specialist
hand tools and modern machinery.
